Allen RACE Modules: the Term, the Sheets, the Sets

RACE — Regular Analysis through Continuous Exercise. It is the practice-sheet system Allen runs inside its classrooms: exercise sheets teachers hand out through the session, worked alongside the bound modules. The module is the book — theory plus exercises, printed and spined. The RACE is the loose sheet — distributed in class, batch by batch, as the course moves.

That distinction is the whole reason this page exists. When people search for Allen RACE modules, they usually mean one of two things: the sheets themselves, or a module set they hope arrives with sheets tucked inside. These are different objects, and a listing for one is not a listing for the other.

A quick map of the terms you will meet on any Allen resale page:

• Module — the bound subject book Allen issues per phase. This is what our Allen shelf stocks.
• RACE sheet — a classroom hand-out, not a standalone book you buy off a shelf.
• Batch names — Nurture (Class 11), Enthuse (Class 12), Leader (dropper year). They describe the course, not the paper inside the parcel.

Plainly: none of our current Allen listings states that RACE sheets are included. What we stock today are module sets — the bound books, counted and photographed. If a set on our shelf ever does come with RACE sheets, the listing will say so in the description and show them in the photos. Until a listing says it, assume the sheets are not there.

This matters because every KotaBook listing is one specific pre-owned copy. The photographs show the exact set you receive — not a stock image — so what you see is the complete contents. Sheets not pictured are sheets not included.

Three ground rules we hold on this page:

• We never imply RACE sheets sit inside a set when the listing does not state it.
• We never sell RACE sheets as PDFs or scans, and we do not link to piracy. Physical paper only.
• If a set arrives incomplete against its photos, the 7-day replacement covers it.
